We have three automatic band saws and three ironworkers (which are capable of punching a 1” hole in a 1” thick plate.)

Industry News

The law of supply and demand applies now, as it always has. The domestic steel industry has reduced its production capacity by 50% in an effort to shore up pricing.

The end result may be higher prices, but there will be spot shortages and longer lead times, as well as holes in the inventory. The stainless steel vendors will be using the same tactic. Aluminum seems to not be as affected at this point...
